About Us
Department of Planning & Architecture provides undergraduate programs in Architecture (B.Arch.). With the objective of expanding its offerings to include post-graduate and Research programs in the future, the department aims to uphold a standard of excellence in architectural education by fostering strong partnerships with renowned institutions, organizations, and firms that are actively engaged in the industry, as well as other professional bodies.
About Mizoram University
Mizoram University was created by an Act of Parliament (No. 8 of 2000) and it became functional on 2nd July 2001. Mizoram University was accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC in 2014 and 2019. The University was ranked as one of the top 100 Universities in India, assessed by the NIRF rankings from 2016 to 2023 under MHRD. In the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2022, Mizoram University secured 1st Rank in the North-East Region of India. The University has 39 functioning academic departments offering UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs under 10 Schools of Study. The University has 40 affiliated colleges and one constituent college. The University is one of the pioneering Universities in the country which has successfully implemented the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) since 2013. In line with the NEP 2020, Mizoram University is progressing towards offering programs that envisage broad-based, multi-disciplinary, and holistic education at various levels of UG and PG Programs.
